Rules To Optimize Your Health

Although we live in a different world now, that doesn’t mean that we don’t have to follow our laws. We need rules to survive. I have compiled a list.

Take only what you feel is most important and leave the rest.

If you have an exercise routine that you love, rules one and two might not be right. But rules three through twelve will be helpful for most people. These rules are practical and cultural norms would be great.

Now, let’s get to the point: Here are the rules that will optimize your health for the 21 Century.

Get up and move

It’s been hours of lying down. You can change the course of your day by waking up to gentle movement every morning. It only takes a few seconds.

Do a Mini-Cindy Five Times Per Day

You will need to plan five points in the day for a Mini Cindy. This consists of.

A pullup bar is necessary. You can hang one above your office door, for example. You can also substitute five T, W pullups. This idea is the same one I advocated for with my 5-Alarm Exercise Plan. It is good to look at your workday and identify it five times.

  • 8:30 am – Right before you leave for work
  • 10:30 am
  • 12:00 pm
  • 1:30 pm
  • 3:00 pm.

Each round takes only a few minutes and will increase your focus and productivity.

However, don’t expect to be able to do it all by yourself. Set the alarm to give you a constant cue. Another option is to make it a rule to do a Cindy Round every time you use the toilet.

There are also options for bathroom breaks.

  • You should keep kettlebells handy and create a weekly schedule so that you do different exercises every day. This may allow you to cut down on your structured workouts.
  • You’ll soon be a fitness dynamo if you add cardio twice a week and gut checks every other Saturday.

Eat and Walk

After every meal, take a walk. Walking helps digestion. Most people don’t get enough sunlight and fresh air.

The third rule is a simple solution. You can also use it as an mental reset if you put on an audiobook or podcast.

The Last Spot

Park in the most remote spot. If you’re traveling with other people, exceptions are permitted. This would make my wife unhappy if I did it with her.

Are there steps? Are you going to go five flights? If so, take the stairs.

The DIY

You must complete a task you are proficient at but require muscle to accomplish, such as moving or mowing the grass. While you can enlist your family and friends to help, it is not likely that you are made for such tasks. You can rise to the occasion.

Most of the foods we eat today are created by chemistry projects to manipulate our taste buds in a way that is impossible with whole food.

People love to pick at terms such as whole foods or processed food.

John Durant might have the best name: “Industrial food.”

Industrial food is any food that has been developed since the industrial revolution. They are generally less nutritious, more likely induce overeating and have a higher calorie count.

Try to eliminate all industrial foods from your day, and limit the number of meals or treats you have planned each week.

Fasting: Enjoy the benefits

All humans have experienced moderately frequent periods in hunger and food shortage until very recently.

This expectation is the foundation of biology. These periods were valued by post-agricultural religions, which organized them with a schedule of feasts and fasts. While some fasts restricted food, such as meat, others, like Ramadan restricted eating for a specific period.
